Incorporating the beauty of the natural world with gifts from the earth feeds my soul. I believe these gifts of perfection and intelligence, when brought into our home, are reminders to always connect and honor Nature. The main medium for all my mosaics is dyed/painted crushed eggshells. On my many outdoor adventures, I gather mica, ponderosa, yucca, cholla, crystals, milkweed, wasp nests, garnets etc to add to my creations. You are literally about to be surrounded by thousands and thousands of eggshells that I have spent a decade collecting, dyeing and crushing to make the palette of colors I desire. I also have a profound appreciation for espresso. To me the coffee berry is nectar-a drink for the Gods & Goddesses. The grounds should be put back into the soil or in this case used in art. You can find the dark velvety grounds in the Medicine Eagle, Gaia, Serenity the Buddha, Nesting mother hen, Lady of Guadalupe the Hands are a Gift and of course the Elevate yourself-Rise above the Grounds. Last, but not least, I re-use objects from discarded canvases to scrap wood, to retired snowboards, etc. as they say, “Waste not, want not” reminding us to avoid unnecessary waste. Why not take the discarded and create beauty. The images I have chosen to create are meant to inspire and uplift you on this journey called life.
